Hi, you may have noticed I softblocked you, left your servers, unfriended you, etc. I did this to a huge number of people recently, including people I have been close with.I’ve experienced tectonic shifts in who I am as a person, with my values and sense of self changing significantly. This has been happening for a while, but is very difficult to communicate. I’m not the same person who befriended you however many months or years ago. I want to keep my accounts for the resources and history I’ve accumulated, but I have to let go of a lot. Think of this as a "remake" with the same account.I have an incredibly small amount of energy and I want to use it wisely. I want to spend less time online, and have my online experience feel enriching.
I am thankful for the good everyone I met has brought my life, and hope I could offer the same. What was good for me in the past isn't necessarily what I need now.I want to be clear that you didn’t do anything wrong. Many people I know carry immense shame. They feel they are too ill, too perverse, too negative... Many express a feeling of being less worthy, fundamentally, with no real start or end. My ending these relationships has nothing to do with you being “too much” or “too little” of anything. None of this is personal to you.I wish I could individually say goodbye to people, but I don’t have the capacity. I hope for all the best in your future relationships.
